Kyrgyzstan 2 - Jordan 0

In a humongous upset, the Kyrgyz were able to overthrow the Jordanians with a 2-0 victory at home. With a goal scored just before the half, the Kyrgyz continued the charge with a second-half goal that essentially sealed the game. With the all-important shutout, Kyrgyzstan need only a two-goal loss with one goal scored (such as 1-3 or 2-4) to advance into the second round of Asian qualifying. Jordan, at number eleven, are the highest seed so far to suffer a loss in Asian qualifying.

Goal scorers:
Kyrgyzstan: Esenkul Uulu 45; Bokoev 76
