New Zealand government postpones match

The New Zealand government refused to grant a visa to Fijian goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau. FIFA postponed the October 13 meeting between the two sides, deeming that it would have been unfair to make the two countries play each other when one team was forced to play without a full squad.

I'd like to take this moment to point out how much the New Zealand government should be ashamed of itself. If anything, FIFA should have made New Zealand forfeit the match. How could they deny a man the right to play for his country when the rest of his team had been given visas? The match had been on the schedule for almost a month! The logistics should have already been worked out.
